OFFICIAL BIO

Nancy Cadle Craddock is a life-long learner and former teacher of elementary gifted students. She earned her B. S. (Edu. K - 8) and M.Ed. (Reading/Children's Literature K - 12) from LSU and her Gifted Endorsement at UGA. She completed pre-grad classes at Marshall University and post-grad ones at Sam Houston State and University of Houston. She was a PAL Member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators). Her articles for children have been published in various online and print magazines such as Hopscotch for Girls, Fun for KIDZ, Fandango, Stories for Children, The Children's Magazine and Boys' Quest. Nancy's article "What School Teachers Really Want from Kids" appeared in a Christmas issue of Atlanta Journal & Constitution, and her art prompt "Squiggles" appeared in Highlights for Children Apr/2006

 Nancy has won several national and local writing contests, including O'Georgia (A Collection of Stories by Georgia's Newest and Most Promising Writers), Friends of Decatur, IL Public Library Short Story Contest, Gwinnett County Public Library System's Gwinnett Reads. Her book Beneath the Paint is a 2016 Moonbeam Award Winner. Nancy was also a winner in Smart Writers.com, and Shane's BBQ Mother's Day Essay Contest Winner 2020. Readers of the now defunct Sweet Tea, the Magazine, enjoyed Nancy's southern, humorous, articles about life in the south.

 

 

UNOFFICIAL BIO

Nancy Cadle Craddock loves kids, especially cute and funny ones; puppies and purple nail polish. Most of all, she loves books and public libraries.
